QUEENS | NYC

This 100-year-old Queens townhouse became our pandemic passion project. A full gut renovation preserved original 1920s details and select mid-century elements, like the brass handrail, set against richly textured metallic wallpaper. The result is a calm, functional home layered with playful, chic moments that nod to old New York with a modern twist.

“Thayer was the perfect partner, she brought her expert design eye and discriminating taste to our gut renovation from the very early stages to the end. I'm so grateful for her help and her calm and upbeat presence.

Thayer brought exactly the right energy into my project and my home. I look around my house and it reflects "me" and my taste, but it's more pulled together than I ever could have done on my own. Thayer did that.”
